Bumpass Hell – Lassen Volcanic National Park

Bumpass Hell is the largest hydrothermal area in Lassen Volcanic National Park and was named after an early settler severely burned a leg after falling into a boiling pool! The trail is quite easy, although the altitude at 8,000 feet can make the trail seem moderately difficult. The well marked 1.5 mile trail will make your Lassen visit complete.
